 Become an American Red Cross Lifeguard. This course consists of 30 hours of extensive training. The course also includes CPR for the professional rescuer, first aid and automated external defibrillator. Participants must be at least 15 years old and have excellent swimming skills. An 80% or better grade is required on both practical water and written tests.
