Outdoor Adventure Program
The YMCA, the US Forest Service, Hiawatha Interpretive Association, Wildlife Unlimited of Delta County have combined resources and staff to provide our Day Campers with an outstanding opportunity to experience the out-of-doors
this summer. One day each week, except for Session I, our campers will be visiting a new destination in the great outdoors to learn about and experience all that nature has to offer. Some experiences will include mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, hiking, camp craft and learning to read a map and compass. Special guests will teach our campers about the woods, water, and the wildlife found in abundance right here in our own U.P. outdoors.
Our Staff and Camper Groups
Our staff consists of college-aged men and women with volunteer assistance from High School Students. Your child will be grouped by age and sex and assigned to a specific group of 8-10 children for the week.
